Innovation Lecture (Living Innovation)
We were contracted by the DTI, working as part of a project team with the Royal Society and Federation of Engineers, to manage the first and second of these highly prestigious annual events in the early 1990s, now known as the DTI’s Living Innovation initiative. The inaugural lecture featured Akio Morita of Sony, with Sir Paul Girolami of Glaxo Holdings plc speaking the following year.
Our role included design of the event theme, co-ordination of five sponsoring bodies, liaison with the lecturer, provision of administrative staff and overall stage management. A comprehensive briefing document for project team members and VIPs proved to be highly effective and was well received.
We also produced transcripts of the lecture, Q&A session and vox pops within 12 hours of the event.
